Freddie Forsyth is a former RAF pilot, investigative journalist and MI6 recruit, but is best known as the author of some of the most suspenseful novels ever written.

Forsyth defined the modern thriller when he wrote The Day of The Jackal, the hunt for an anonymous Englishman hired to assassinate the French President.

In The Odessa File, Forsyth merged extraordinary fact and fiction with the story of a young German journalist turned obsessed avenger determined to bring a notorious Nazi war criminal to justice.

Freddie went on to write many other novels and short stories including The Fourth Protocol, Avenger, The Kill List and The Deceiver. His books have been translated into thirty languages and have sold 70 million copies worldwide.
